I just bought an 07 with 208k had 3 misfires (1/2/3) and the rocker arm 1 code. I was getting TRASH fuel. Like 20-26mpg. I replaced the sparks and ignition coils. Used some Techron and 93. Fuel went from previous MPG to 31mpg documenting it over time. Just ordered the VVT Solenoid and we’ll see what happens. Appreciate the video. Might take a crack at valve timing soon. None the less I want to crack this engine and see what it looks like after 208k miles hoping to turn it into a nice daily that can be taken to the track for the wife and I.

Its great to see the AW11 again, great choice on the wheel as well. I went diving on Yahoo Japan auctions and snagged an old TOMs wheel, which fit in great with the general theme of the AW11. I also bought the old school TRD leather shift knob and IS300 pedals (they slip right on AW11 and SW20 pedals!) and ever since its been perfect for me for driving comfort/feel. TechnoToyTuning's quick ratio rack was probably the best mod I put on the car... its worth every penny and like you mentioned this is a pretty light car, just let it roll and you'll be able to turn the wheel easily. There is almost no dead spot in the middle of the wheel and the steering feedback you get is fantastic. (You also go from 3.5 turns to 2.5 turns from one end to the other iirc.) Looking forward to seeing more AW11 videos!

Quick question did you use the old washer for left shifter cable? Before installing the locking pin?

Mine is starting to tick at idle and what mileage has always been surprisingly bad for a car this small.

Next time label the wires with masking tape and a pen. Honestly I think smokey and the bandit diamond plate tape would have looked better or cover in red including center dash
